Kimberly Ford

Kimberly Ford was destined for a career with Lighting Systems. As a third-generation employee, she didn’t fall far from the industry tree. Her knowledge of lighting is deeply embedded thanks to her grandfather, Al Thompson, who was one of Lighting Systems original partners, followed by her father, now retired, former Principal, Dan Thompson.

After completing her degree in design and marketing from Sacramento State, Kimberly started her career at Lighting Systems in 2014 as a Customer Service Rep. She is now one of our many amazing Project Managers working diligently to ensure projects stay on schedule and budget. She loves learning more about the industry with its constantly changing products, technologies, and methods, but most of all she adores her Bay Area clientele.

Kimberly and her husband Jeff are about to celebrate their 7th year of marriage. They recently expanded their family with the birth of Thomas in 2020.

When not working on renovating her recently purchased Roseville home, Kimberly enjoys getting out and kayaking with her family on Lake Tahoe or closer to home on Folsom Lake. In her quiet moments, she likes to bake and read.
